The Anza Valley has a warm summer Mediterranean climate generally described as semiarid. The annual average temperature of Anza is 62° F, with an annual average maximum of 95° F in August and an annual average minimum temperature of 35.9° F in December. Average rainfall is approximately 14.4 inches per year, with most of the rain falling from November through April.
The Environmental Department is continuing to pursue funding to install an air quality monitoring station on the Reservation. Updates will be provided once funding is secured.
Priority Climate Action Plan
In 2024, the Tribe collaborated with SCS Engineers to create the Tribe’s first Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP). The PCAP highlighted the estimated emissions from the Tribe in 2023. The PCAP created a baseline year that the Tribe will use going forward to help manage and reduce their emissions.
