The Environmental Department, in conjunction with other Tribal Environmental Department staff, has recently been participating in the monitoring of streams at various Southern California Tribal Reservations.
Dubbed the Stream Team, this inter-tribal group meets regularly and provides hands-on monitoring assistance to the host Tribe. Various characteristics and biological parameters, such as Benthic Macroinvertebrates, have been monitored by the group. This collaboration is valuable because it allows Tribal staff to routinely help one another collect sampling data as specified in their Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP).
